Switching to O2's cashback 20Mbs offer

I'm currently with Madasafish and the 12 month contract expires at the start of April.
Is it possible for me to apply for the O2 20Mbps cashback offer (must apply before 16th Feb) or do I have to wait until the 12 months expires before I can apply to a new broadband supplier?
It's even more confused by the fact that Madasafish require 1 month notice of leaving - depending on whether the notice must start at the end of the current contract it might be the start of May before I can leave them.
There's also the delay caused by getting a MAC code from Madasafish - would I have to get this before the O2 offer expires on 16th Feb?
It's all very confusing! Can anyone give any guidance on the above?
I guess most people are on 12 month contracts, so how do you simply take up a limited-time good offer like this if you are tied in you current supplier? Is it just a case of being lucky that a good offer appears just as your existing contract expires?

Can't see a problem with you applying now, would be a shame to see you leave thoughIt's even more confused by the fact that Madasafish require 1 month notice of leaving - depending on whether the notice must start at the end of the current contract it might be the start of May before I can leave them. There's also the delay caused by getting a MAC code from Madasafish - would I have to get this before the O2 offer expires on 16th Feb?I guess most people are on 12 month contracts, so how do you simply take up a limited-time good offer like this if you are tied in you current supplier? Hope that helps,

Thanks for your comments Bob. I'm still thinking about this. I note that PlusNet have an 8Mbps package with 10GB allowance for £5.99 (which stays at £5.99 on low cost exchanges), while Madasafish's 8Mbps package with only 5GB allowance costs a whopping £14.99.
Why is there such a big apparent difference between Madasafish and PlusNet prices when they are effectively the same company? Are the PlusNet connections more heavily throttled than Madasafish?
The PlusNet £5.99 deal sounds like it could be good for us (we are on a low cost exchange), but we wouldn't want the apparent speed of the line to drop compared to the existing MAAF connection.0 -
Can a PlusNet representative please reply to the above questions?
We would not want to move to the cheaper Plusnet offering if our existing MAAF connection will drop in speed.0
