Amazon buyer contacted me with a question....

I have an almost new mobile listed on Amazon for sale.
I've been contacted by a buyer wanting to query if the condition of the phone is exactly as it's listed, she's asked for photos to be emailed to an address out of the Amazon contact form.
Alarm bells are ringing in my ears and I can't pin point anything apart from the request to email photos, oh and I just realised the phone number is correct she provided. There's a digit missing. Mistake or purpose?
I haven't emailed back with anything yet, I wanted some advice in here first
Can someone offer advice please, I know my gut feeling is probably correct, but I'd just like another person to confirm or deny this !
Thank you all in advance!

Sounds fine to me. You cannot send photos through amazon so it would be the only other way to see some. If you are worried about your email address just start a new email from yahoo, hotmail etc just for this one person.0

Thanks Maysie, I think I'll wait a wee while just so I can get an opinion from a few more people before I do anything0

Regarding the phone number she has given you - if it's a landline number, it may actually be correct, as there are still some places that have 10 digit phone numbers - I had to call the Buxton Opera House last week, I thought the 10 digit number was wrong, but it wasn't !!!Google is my friend ..... :j0

+1
I've only got 10 digits & we're in Berkshire"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye."...Miss piggy0 -
You could just send the photos through separately, and reply through amazon that you have done so. As long as it's only the pics and not the transaction going through the external account, I don't see any issue.0

You'll send an email in reply, which will have your email address.
Then you'll get a fake "sold now" email, pretending to be from the Amazon, claiming to have purchased your phone.
You'll send the phone, but won't have received any payment.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

But if you set up an email address just for this 'buyer' and that Amazon doesn't know about... and then get a 'sold' email to this one-off addy, you'll know it's a scam!
Also, I'm sure there were mobile numbers issued not long ago with one digit less than the norm...

Thanks all! I'll set up an addy just to deal with amazon0

No... set up an addy just to deal with this buyer, then you'll know for sure that any replies are connected to them and not your Amazon account.
