o2 unlimited text bolt on??

Ok so got my contract moved to the o2 iphone simplicity tariff last month and have nearly used all my 1200 texts so i rang up today and asked for the unlimited text bolt on to be put back on my account to which i was told that this was not possible and they dont do that bolt on anymore?

Anyone else had this problem??
When i moved to the simplicity tarriff i was told i could put the bolt on back on whenever i wanted?? Should i get put through to retentions and try to get them to do it?

  • They've definitely stopped it. Its now £7.50 per 500 texts. I'm stuck on my rolling contract because they won't let me take a new phone and keep the unlimited bolt-on.

You may get them to put on through retentions, worth a try. But my experiences have been poor - they seem to have no desire to keep customers.
  • opted for the family bolt on instead.
Gives me unlimited texts/pics/calls to 4 other o2 people.
