iPhone Abroad
Going out of the country tomorrow and I've heard iPhones can be prone to roaming charges, unless a setting is turned off. How can this be done and will turning off this setting stop any costs being incurred (providing I only use free WiFi and not 3G), except for calls and texts?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you go into Settings - General - Network & make sure the Data Roaming bit is set to off. Also best to turn off voicemail (not sure how to do this sorry) as that ends up costing you a packet.
If you're on o2 one sms sent from abroad will take 4 off your allowance, so it's probably the cheapest & easiest way to tell people you are enjoying the sun...while we're stuck with this crazy cold/snowy weatherWondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0 -
Thank you! Sounds so simple when you explain it.
Unfortunatly the place I am going will be as cold (if not colder than the UK):j Comping Newbie :j
