put it back in on gas 3 for another 10 mins, test with a skewer (or a strand of spaghetti) if it come out with mixture on it, put back in the oven for another 5/10mins. cos it's a loaf tin the center will take longer to cook, so best to cook longer on lower heat.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

just popping in. Am still at work but am having my hair dyed in the salon here in a few minutes time. It's a bit off the cuff as I was just going to discuss it with the tutor and have it done after half term but have ended up having it done which saves me messing around at home or waiting and having it done here.
Gone for something like Brilliant Burgundy red............or something like that!!!

claire, if you're doing it in a loaf tin....next time try lowering the temp, maybe gas mark 2 or 3 and doubling the time. Is what I do to all fruit cakes and they come out fine.

Wow Pooky, sounds like you have everyones fair share of snow today, we've had gorgeous sunshine all day.
Sammy - thanks so much for the spreadsheets, Im hoping that with a better idea of how much will hit my bank account, I'll have a better chance of budgetting and clearing the last of my debt, while also being able to give OH some money towards renting and furnishing the house (if/when we get it)
Im loving this forum now, its so inspiring how you all deal with everything life throws, I hope I can follow your examples when I jump ship (sick of being treated like a child at home now!!)0 -
BB - love the sound of your new hair colour.

It has been quiet on here today! We also have had a fair bit of snow although the sun has been out and melted a lot of it.
My neighbour's outside tap has a leak and it has been pouring out of it since this morning. She isn't at home, so I phoned her landlord and left a message, but no one has been round. The fence between us is soaked and her garden area (which luckily is all concrete) is floating! If it freezes again overnight, it will be like an ice rink.OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j
