Claire, I think you can get something that clips onto the edges of the sheet and then goes under the mattress to keep it on, not sure where though. I had that problem with my mattresses (it was the same with three of them), and I've found that cheaper, 'stiffer' sheets don't come off, I got a couple from Wilkinsons and they stay on no problem.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

I read a rather interesting thread on DT - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=574857 it was originalyl posted back in 2007 and had me giggling. Maybe it's just my toilet humour?

Addictive is not the word!!!
I have about another hour until the OH is due to arrive, wouldnt want him to feel neglected, although I'm sure he'll see the benefits when we're living together and we have lots of spare cash

Hello Scotsmum!
Claire, for baked apples, I core them and score around the middle, stuff them with sultanas/nuts/honey/whatever, and put them in the sc with a bit of water in the bottom. For apple crumble, I slice them (don't bother peeling them, like you I can't), put them in the sc with some sultanas and spices (cinnamon, ginger, mixed spice, whatever I feel like) and then cover with a ready made crumble mix. I sometimes find it's a bit dry though so really I should put in some water.
I had my first women's self help group this afternoon, not what I expected but it was interesting, I think I'll keep going.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Thats good news about the group Ames.
Good to see you tonight PAP, hope you're ok.
I'm so tempted to buy a slow cooker when (if?) we get the house, they seem to make such lovely meals with minimal effort. Although I could always try to convince my mum to donate hers to a good home, I think I could count on one hand the number of times shes used it since she bought it!!!0 -
