Ok, spoke to someone last week about getting a MAC from BT broadband.
Was told the usual, 5 working days etc, which was last night. So surprise surprise i dont have one yet!
Does anyone know any contact details for a higher up in BT that anyone has used before and got results? Or do i need to phone and threaten i will be contacting OFCOM?

Hi berti_quinlan,
Sorry that you haven't received your MAC yet. Drop me an email (you can find this in my profile) with your BT account details and I will check this out for you.
Cheers

What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0

still no further forward with this, emailed the address given and was told it would be sent to my bt email account or posted, which was specifically not requested.
I gave my personal email and mobile phone number and was told it would be sent to these. So frustrating, such a simple request and pig headed ignorance always prevails....
Just emailed the CEO from that list, hopefully the big man helps me out0 -
Hi berti_quinlan
Did you include your forum username when you emailed in? Just wondering as I can't see an email in the queue from you there but I might've missed it...
If you haven't received the MAC number yet can you drop me another quick email with the username in the subject field, and I'll look into this ASAP?
Thanks,
Stephanie

Hah, seemed to do the trick! Got a MAC code in my inbox on tuesday and just finished placing my order with o2.
Does anyone know how long cashback sites take to show your purchase details because i went through quidco since they offer £70 cashback for the package i went for. Checked the 'my account' section and it says nothing about it, i am assuming it takes a while for it to be processed through o2 then back to quidco, just wondered if anyone had any experience on this?
Cheers0 -
Tracking can vary from a few minute to a day or so. O2 payment arrives ~ 2 months after you go live with them and the payment goes to you bank the next Quidco payment cycle after that.
If it still isn't showing in a couple of days or so raise a ticket with Quidco0 -
Ah, when i log in it says under recent activity '£60 tracked from o2 broadband'
Im guessing that means they have registered it fine and i just have to wait now.
Strange how it says £60 when it says £70 on the website......0 -
Don't worry about that. Mine tracked at the wrong price and I raised a ticket. Quidco said it would be received and paid at the correct rate and it was.
With something else that was supposed to have £20 cashback I only got £5 and it took about 6 months to get the rest. I've had plenty of things that took ages but never one that failed to pay.
I've even had two payments where I shouldn't have - one for a cancelled mobile and another where I got to a checkout and saw the post was exhorbitant so dumped the cart. The mobile phone co had the last laugh though - it was one of those who paid back all the line rental so long as you sent them the bills and they went bust before the contract was up on a different phone.0
