  • I am not sure Human Rights is the correct platform but I understand where you are coming from.

You have to remember though that in the final analysis you are applying to borrow soem money, there is no right to receiving an offer and anyone can say NO. They are not duty bound to provide any reason why. Why is it with the majority of Credit card Issuers routinely rejecting around 40/50% of applications and yet we hear no big out cry from the Public on how unjust this is.

CC companies use the same firms to help make their decisions and the fact that the debt is unsecured means that there "scoring" processis far tougher.

I amconfident that if there was some thing untoward reported on Experian or equifax then you would be directed to either companu by the Lender to discover for yourself what they have been informed of and if in error then you can get it rectified.

I should also point out that the Lender does not see the same detail as you the applicant would when you get a credit report. All the Lender would see is an unnamed Store card,Credit Card, or Utility or Lender the company is not named at all, so it would be inappropriate for the Lender to say you have a CCJ with XYZ because they cannot tell who it is and if you have 3,5 or more cards then.

I should also add that Lenders will not even advise the Broker, if submitted this way, what has been discovered under data protection act requirements.
