3 Upgrade deal???

Hi all

The Missus has just had a company called communications direct on about upgrading her phone. At the mo she is with O2 but is now out of the 12 month contract period. She has been offered a deal with the 3 Network which consists of 600 xnet anytime minutes, 400 texts per month, 50 xnet video messages and 50 xnet video texts with a Nokia 6280 for free. This for £22.50 per month, 18 month contract.

How does this sound, I told the girl that I won't make a decision on the phone so she is going to ring back tomorrow. Anyone else had dealings with these people, and how does that deal sound?

I'm always weary of sales people who ring up trying to flog something, but I don't want to pass up on a good deal if thats what it is.

cheers

Steve

Depends if it is the phone, the minutes etc or both that attract you - If you don't want all teh minutes etc but want a 6280 it doesn't seem bad - pop over to reestsit mutton and browse the deals from 3 and on 6280s.

I've had a call from them today, offering the same deal. but the £22.50 doubles to £45 after the first 6 month. They did say something like I can change down to a lower terrif (Flexi terrif ?) I can afford after 6 months, so it still might be a good deal? but it depends on what the offer is after the first 6 months is up?,

Have you decided what to do yet?

A quick tally for that deal 6 months at 22.50 then 12 at 45 means you would be paying £540 for the 18 months, e2save have some good deals same tariff for 12 months would work out £252.93 with 7 months at 3.99 or if you want the 18 month deal it would be 9 months free then 9 at £45 = £405 plus go via a cashback site and i think you would get another £20 back.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
