@fermi
I've installed Adblock Plus and applied the three filters that you suggested.
The last two are working OK, the banner and 'This forum isn't moderated...' are both wiped out.
But the first rule that you gave me isn't working. The panels are all still there down the right hand side.
Please will you check if there's a typo.
This is the rule I've applied:-forums.moneysavingexpert.com##TD[style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small; background: url(\"http://images.moneysavingexpert.com/images/stamp_long.gif\") repeat-y scroll center center rgb(230, 243, 223);"]

Odd? Has stopped working for me today as well?
Try instead.......forums.moneysavingexpert.com##TD[style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size: small; background-color: rgb(230, 243, 223);"]
The most reliable way to do it though is to use:
Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper
With that you can easily set up your own rules without having to understand the code..

Thanks fermi
That alternative rule works OK.
I will experiment with the Element Hiding Helper later.
Here's the result:-

The Inspect Element part of the Firebug addin is good for finding blockable parts too.

It is, isn't it?
Takes most of the pain out of setting them up.

Yes, I've got the Helper installed now and used it to remove some more trivia from the top.
Good.
I should mention that you do need to be a little careful. Sometimes the rules it generates can match (and so remove) other page elements that you didn't intend.
I used it to remove something here a while back, and for some reason the rule also matched the containing page elements for the whole thread reply box, so it removed that as well. Oops!
