Do you have a local Sure Star/Childrens centre? they may be able to provide help and support, also a great place to take the little ones!
Ours always used to have tea, coffee, milk and water on tap and usually a free lunch or 2.
    Hope that helps.

They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.
  • Isn't there an association/organisation that helps prisoner families? I can't remember for the life of me what it is called, perhaps you can find out about them.

Sorry for asking the question, I never thought it would initiate an !!!!!y reply x

Are service wives also treated as single for benefits purposes or is it just prisoners'? Just wondered.

Yes there is, they do offer quite a bit of advice. I called the CAB today and they said if the tax office are backlogged then 2-3 months is not unusual and that my claim will be backdated to 3 months prior to my initial contact, it's not much help in the meantime but at least I know it is normal and it's not just me.

Don't worry about the question it's fine, I just don't appreciate people making sarky comments about something which is not my or( more importantly) my childrens fault.

I think because servicemen are earning money while they are away to support their families, rightly or wrongly prisoners are unable to do this, and while they may deserve whatever punishment they get, their wives and children don't. I hope this has answered your question.

There are a couple of centers near me, I haven't been but there are playgroups which do the same for £1, which are nice once a week. I usually find my mum privides a wonderful service similar to this too, and if I promise to wash up she even makes us dinner too, love her:)

Sorry, where is the benefit advice in that sentence? Being that this section is to help people get benefit they are entitled to and not comment on someone's home life?

Surely that can't be you passing judgement again can it? So unlike you...

Careful that halo doesn't nick you on the head;)
