UK call centre credit cards

Does anyone know if there is a list of credit card companies that have UK based call centres? Ideally I'd like a card with cash back awards too if one exists!

I ahve always spoken to UK people with AMEX, their card offer 5% for 3 months (but there are a few hoops top jump through) and it isn't universally accepted.
But well worth having for £100+ if you earn £30K+
  • Thanks. Unfortunately I already have that card. I agree that the service seems to be in the UK and they are very helpful. The downside is some people not taking it and so I have a Barclaycard as well and any call to them usually takes about 3 attempts and an hour of my time to resolve!

My back up card to AMEX is Egg Money.
I've always spoken to Uk people and they are quite good at secure messaging if your enquiry can wait 1 or 2 days.
I work in a quiet office so I prefer messaging to phone.
I agree that barclaycard are bad. I had trouble closing a card with them and wouldn't use them again.
  • Have you tried the BNP Gold Card?
Proud to be dealing with my debts!

    Enlighten us please.

    1)Do you mean BNP paribas?
    2) Or are you saying that wanting to speak to someone who you can both understand and talk to you OFF a script is somehow racist? My Dad has hearing difficulties and strong accents (whether glasweigian or Inidan) cause problems for some elderly people.

You could try Lloyds TSB, their card services are in Brighton,

Not for much longer, they are selling that building off in about 10 months

As above, Amex are in the UK (Brighton, Hull, Leeds)
RBS/Natwest are in the UK (Southend on sea)
Vanquis  are also in South end on sea

Cant say any more for certain though I'm afraid

BNP Paribas don't issue UK cards do they?

    Don't know.
I just did a google trying to work out what he/she was saying?

I think it was a jibe about the British National Party, but I was just checking.

There are some issues which are nothing to do with being racist, but more to do with wanting a useful service.
Personally I rarely call or contact my credit card providers so it's not a huge issue for me.

  • Sainsburys credit card uses UK call centres, 1% cashback at Sainsburys, .2% elsewhere. Good if you shop at Sainsburys!
