Digital tv won't play without freeview box

Options
I have this digital telly

http://www.reevoo.com/p/logik-lcxw19d5

we have it on a cupboard in our bedroom and it is connected to a freeview box.

I want to put the telly on a bracket and get rid of the freeview box, as the telly has freeview in it.

We have disconected all of the leads, and put the telly back on the cupboard, but we can't get the telly to work, should we have an ariel plugged in the back of the telly.

thanks

How on earth do you expect it work without an aerial or other source connected?

All TV's ever made need an aerial, or other source to function.

Somewhere on the remote control there will be a button to select the input source, select dtv to select the freeview (digital) tuner, you may also have to retune the box.
I suggest that you also RTFM (read the flippin manual)

"" should we have an ariel plugged in the back of the telly ""

    - yes ! you could try a Mars Bar but chocolate is unlikely to get any [ Yagi ] signal let alone a digital quality one.:)

    "" why can't I get digital ""

    - only a High Gain digital quality areal will get freeview, see : -

  • If your freeview box was able to get the signal your tele should be able to do the same, the TV / DTV button on your remote then, the options / settings in the TV menu need a severe looking at !

would have done that 1st, but it was my late grandads telly and i couldn't find the manual in his house when we cleared it out. .........have searched on the internet for a copy but can't find one.

On the source button it has

    tv
    av
    scart
    ypbpr
    dvb
    pc
    hdmi

    but no dtv

I would like to thank you for your input, but then again it must be so easy being smart.

Right i'll have a go myself and look after the kids at the same time, cook and be jack of all trades

    dvb then..

You'll then need to search for channels.
