How can Flightchecker check EasyJet fares"6hours ago"which aren't on EasyJet website?

I want to book EasyJet flights for October half term but the EasyJet website is only offering fares up to September. Flightchecker, however, will quote me an EasyJet fare for October and states that the quoted fare was "last checked 6 hours ago". How is this possible? Where does Flightchecker get it's prices from if not from easyJet.com?
Of greater interest though is whether I can find out how long it will be before EasyJet will update their website with October flight prices? Their 'help' pages suggest that it is pointless phoning them to find out as their staff do not know or will not be able to advise on this issue.
Some online travel agents are also quoting EasyJet flights for October but I am assuming fares will be cheaper if I wait and book direct. The gamble is, whilst I wait (for an indeterminate length of time!) will the cost of my selected hotel go up ... probably yes!
I'd really appreciate any advice or insight from anyone in the travel business or with expereince of easyJets normal practices. Thanks.

When this happens the flights are usually available direct from Easyjet within a few days. I doubt much will happen to hotel prices in the meantime. More of a risk is that peolpe can get in as soon as the flights are released and snap up the cheapest fares. Are you on Easyjet's mailing list?0

Thank you for replying. Yes I am on the easyJet mailing list and I am checking their site each day .... or is that each hour! I am planning for it to be me who snaps up the cheapest fare
Thanks again.0
