We always do pressies, even if only a token. This year he's getting a new dressing gown - was resigned to spending the mopney on it and was charged 50% at the till so result!0

Chocolate spread, candles and handcuffs are always appreciated! With a little note, 'meet you later!'

My girlfriend and I don't bother with anything. Does Valentines Day have any religious significance = No. Is it a special day specific to the two of us (ie anniversary) = No. Is it a day dreamt up by Hallmark to boost the dip in revenue between Christmas and Easter = Yes!
I don't see why I should have to show my partner I love her on a day that I'm told to! I already do that 365 days a year!0 -
My boyfriend's birthday is near Valentine's day, so I wouldn't usually buy him anything. I buy him loads the rest of the year as he is so easy to buy presents for and never goes shopping, so can be appreciative of anything.
I do expect a card and flowers from him, and I helped him by booking a weekend away for the both of us, but it's a very money saving break!!!
Most of the presents you see specifically for Vaelentine's day are tat, so I wouldn't bother, but one year there was I love you Marmite, which he loves, so of course I got that.
It's only unfair if over the year it doesn't balance out.0 -
I think part of the problem is that I have no idea what to buy him, in some respects his birthday and Christmas are easier, but I sort of feel it should have a valentines theme and I hate the thought of getting him teddy etc just as much as he would probably dislike receiving it.2009 wins: Cadburys Chocolate Pack x 6, Sally Hansen Hand cream, Ipod nano! mothers day meal at Toby Carvery! :j :j :j :j0
