If visiting bridlington theres a excellent fish and chip cafe/takeaway called the trawl, its located town centre opposite woolworths and w hill betting shop, you can get cod/haddock and chips with tea/coffee and bread bun in the restaraunt for £4,very basic looking establishment, but beleive me its excellent.also at scarborough i reccommend the kitchen cafe which is located at top of steep hill at side of futurist theatre, very good food there too.

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone - we had a great time in Scarborough (despite the rainicon11.gif ).

Took up quite a few of your suggestion...went to feed the squirrels at Peasholm Park - managed to get a bag of nuts for 35p from shop across the road and they all got eaten! It was a lovely park, really big - shame it was raining when we were there though.

We also went to Kam Sang on North Marine Drive which was really nice. Must be popular as it was busy when we arrived, and by the time we were seated they were queueing out the door to get a seat and the food was lovely.

Didn't quite make it to Boggle Hole as we ran out of time, but walked right up and down the bay, round the castle, and round the bottom of the castle headland. Also went for coffee and a yummy bakewell tart at the cafe on the top of Oliver's Mount - excellent views despite it being cloudy and overcast so really glad we went.

We'd never have known about most of these things if you hadn't have told me, so thanks everyone. Oh and enjoyed the Fratellis at the free beached festival too, although didn't see much else due to the rain!
