Tee hee - just had one of those pre-recorded "write off your debt" messages on the phone at work, pressed to be connected to an operator and kept her hanging on going "hello.. hello..." for ages :rotfl:

Well done Linda, Snaggles and Bunny!

I can't believe what I've just done... I read the appointment letter three times, where it said to go to LGI. I got there and the appointment was at Jimmy's, and having got back, yes that's what the letter said. I can't believe I was so stupid! Anyway, the haematologist doesn't think it's anything in his area, and that the 'big rise' in my wbc count isn't actually big, although he can understand other doctors thinking it was. His theory is that whatever's causing my immune problems has knackered my spleen, which is why my white cell count has been so high for so long. So, that's another thing crossed off the list, I'll see what the immunologist suggests next month. At least he said I don't need a bone marrow test! He's done some fancy blood test using new more sensitive technology but isn't going to see me again.

Then sister called wanting a lift. She's only been back a week and already she's taking over my time, will have to put a stop to it.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Right I'm back.

Great news on the interview and course Bun,

Linda - also great news on the GNR place, rather you than me though, running is definately not my strong point, although I'd better get practising if I'm going to finish my Race for Life quicker than last year.

My fingers and toes are still not warm, I have spent most of today scraping and painting woodwork outside...Fun Fun Fun!!!

She can't have you this weekend! :T

Did they send you across to Jimmy's then or see you at the LGI Ames?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

They phoned Jimmys for me and I raced across town.

The only reason I said yes to sister today is that she needs a lift to seacroft and I could do to call in Asda for some muesli, otherwise she'd have to whistle. It's just her attitude of surprise when I say I've got something else planned when she needs me! Admittedly tonight it's 'waiting in for a tesco delivery' which isn't exactly exciting, but still.

She knows she's not having me around this weekend! Although I am going to look like a junkie, the bruises from the nurse prodding me with needles to try and get some blood should be nice and colourful by saturday.
