Help - Shoes, Hair, Makeup, Tiara !!

Hi wedding is 17th April, so dont have long to sort all these things out.
Shoes - have seen some silver sandals I like but not that comfortable so not sure what to do ? Any recommendations, can prob get alternatives for evening do if need be.
Hair - have booked trial and day for £140, but am thinking its a lot of money so not sure whether to try to find others ?
Makeup - how much should I pay ? Seen one for £30 trial and £60 on day and lots for more.
Tiara - one I really liked was £100 with pearls and diamantes, someone can make one similar for £75-£80, but thats still more than I was planning to spend. What are other brides spending on tiaras ?
Thanks girls :)

  • Go to New look and hook yourself up with some pumps for the evening
Hair - seems alot to me. have a look round and when you speak to people say you would like a pre trial trial to see if you like their work before you book them - you should get it for a reasonable price and you can try the cheapest without worrying.
Mine is £35 for trial AND day. Do as above - look at mobile beauticians on yell.com in your area and give some a call to see if they do make up, if you like the sound of them on the phone book a pre trial trial.
That does seem like quite alot, there are threads on here of ladies who have made their own, or have a look on ebay.

  • Im making my own tiara and the ones for my 6 bridesmaids. I got a double tiara base from the pound shop and the most gorgeous flowers on wires and they are going to look fantastic. I'm going to make mine with pearls and diamante sprays next week once i have found a decent base.
  • With the tiara if you have a pic or link it might be worth posting it for more specific advice?

  • I think someone on here could definately advise you on how to make that tiara. And as for the shoes, they are beautiful but if they hurt your feet it's got to be a no no. Have a look around for some other silver shoes. I'd go to the high st rather than online - you'll have to wait for them to arrive before you can try them and then you'll have to send them back if they're not right. If you can get to debenhams before sunday get 2 different daily mails and use the voucher in there?

If you have a florist wholesale place near you - it would be worth looking there for a tiara....they may not be exactly the same, but you might find one you like for a fraction of the cost.

Hair and make up both sound expensive- so I would look for alternatives!!

We paid £80 for bride, MOB, and two BM's for make up - I think hair for all of us was about the same.
These were both with a trial day and then they came to us on the day, so saved on having to get anywhere......!

Whereabouts are you? maybe someone can suggest people to try....
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??
