Heads up - Quidco offering £120 cash back on Orange contracts

I took an orange deal roughly 12 months ago for my sister on orange
(£20 x 18 months).
The cashback tracked and paid in 4 months. They needed a little bit more info like when i ordered and when i activated the sim. In the end it paid :T.

£120 for Pay Monthly contract phone connections, new customers only (per transaction, not per phone basis)*
Cashback is not paid on iPhones. *This offer does not apply to Orange 5 and Orange 10 PAYM 36 Month tariffs

Does anyone know how long this offer is going to be on for?

And do orange always do an electoral role check as although it was registered last week it wont actually show for this address till March now to anyone doing a credit check. Just didnt want to make an application and then get a failed credit check because of this
    Thanx

Yeah you do get credit checked but i dont know who they use, experian or that other one.

It doesnt say how long its on for, but the one i signed up for this same deal time last year only lasted a week, then a few months later a £100 one popped up.

I guess if you cant sign up now, you can wait for the new one to pop up in a few weeks/months.
(hopefully someone can spot it and inform everyone else) :p

Do you know if calling up customer services after you have applied for the contract to give them your pac code effects cashback? Its just there is nowhere to put the pac code when applying, it just says ring customer services with it. I juat dont want it to void cashback as it says everything must be done wholly online on quidco
    Thanx

  • Sorry, i dont know the answer that question. :o
Its strange how they changed the option to enter a PAC at checkout to needing to phone up in 12 months.

But i would like to know the answer to that question in case i need it in the future, can someone tell us please? :)

Asked on the quidco thread a few days ago and rep said they would check with quidco and get back but nothing so far so I have also sent a query about this to quidco from my account. They got back saying they couldnt find out till Monday but by the time I find out the offer will probably be gone. I also asked orange directly it took ages for them to reply and they completely sent me a reply which had nothing to do with my question, it wasnt an auto reply either but they just did not read what I had put and just sent a lazy reply probably because they couldnt be bothered to find out the correct answer. That has put me off really as if they can do that to a potential new customer it really doesnt give me much faith in them at all

Sorry to hear that you have been treated like that by Orange, i have called Orange up a few times... their customer service is ok.

I have also received poor replies from e-mailing o2 but i did sent o2 a message around xmas and they phoned me up to answer it! I guess thats gotta be good!

I just realised that the offer has gone, if you do get any replies from quidco on Monday can you please post their response here for future reference.
    Thanks

A word of warning: I took out a contract in Dec 08 with Orange through Quidco - it was declined.

Cashback is great IF you get it, but never base your purchase on the assumption of getting it.

Yeah got the reply and they said admin said it would be ok but the offer is now £50. I knew that would happen but anyway I'll see if it comes up again. Quidco wouldnt be my first choice of cashback sites normally but this was the highest for orange at the time. It might come up on another site with a bit of luck but will look out for other deals anyway
    Thanx
