Ignore the parking company but write and complain to Asda.

Can you imagine being given a fake fine in WHSmith or Wetherspoons? Why stand for it when it's poxy Asda?

Tell them you're never shopping there again.

Can you point me to any more info about this? PM if needs be - I have my reasons. ;)
S.I. No. 2013 2002 is the best start point I think.
Much more avalaible via a search on credit card processing on websites and what validation HAS to be done for the transaction to be compliant.
I am told by my IT person that a proxy can be used to capture all traffic in a session with a site. Of course if such measures are taken then the Rules of Evidence must be adhered to - see Cross and Tapper ifn this a new subject for you. If it is not then please forgive me my presumption.

This is also very often fruitful reading

Better still skulk around and try identify the manager or some staff member's cars and put pathetic joke PCN invoices on their cars.

Not sticking up for them btw, but they are not scammers as indicated above.

They are based where I live and have been around for years, run a multi-storey car park here for example.

So it's not the usual one-man band in someone's front room.

Come off it, their whole business model is based around a scam. No different to any other PPC scum. Just because they've been scamming for years doesnt make them legit.

Similarly, NCP have been around for years too, they run P & D car parks for Councils and have held the contract to issue real on-street tickets for many Councils.

But I have no hesitation in naming and shaming them and ALL private parking companies as scammers IMHO.

When it comes to ANY company issuing private parking tickets I would say there isn't a fair one among them - and IMHO that includes the BPA who represent the PPC industry but struggled to defend their members on this very forum last year (they gave up!):

...and whose spokesman, Mr Troy, frankly looked like an idiot recently when trying to defend the PPC industry in Parliament:

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Interesting if you go into their website to the payments page. You can enter any Reg No and PCN No beginning with DL, and any date and it will present you with an amount to pay. Looks like another amateurish scam outfit.

Just tried it using Reg No as 0 and PCN No beginning with DE & no as 0 & using my dob as the offence date. This actually asks you to insert the amount of the fine yourself - so I entered 0.01. Guess what, it accepted this amount & offence date, & took me to payment page:rotfl:

Are these people really that desperate that they'll accept 1p for an offence I committed the day I was born:naughty:

In fact, just changed fine amount from 1p to 0p; it still accepts the amount & takes you to the payment page:eek::rotfl:

This must be a case of :wall:

Try a minus amount and get them to pay you.:rotfl:

Look at the e-Trading Regulations. I think they may well be in breach.

    :think:Well, thought I'd give it a try; here's what u get -

    Parking Charge Notice Number: DE0
    Date of Ticket Issue: 08/08/1963
    Amount of Fine: £ -1
    Vehicle Registration: 0

So, the site obviously recognizes the minus amount.

Unfortunately, when I click on proceed; I get -

Error - Amount missing, invalid or too small.

They're obviously not total numb-skulls after all.
