I have to say I'm with callistris on this. Why bother with this product you'll have to uninstall it after the trial if you dont want to pay.

Because it works and uninstalling is not a problem surely.Do you never trial programmes ?

Security product are notoriously hard to uninstall, this one might be different but why risk it when there free products that do just as good a job. I do trial programs but use Zsoft Uninstaller so everthing is gone at the end.

    Likewise also use Revo.
  • I would remove / copy all files, pictures that you want then go with a format the harddrive with a fresh install.

Then on another machine download the SP updates as required and copy them across before using the internet.

These days i have copies of all the software i use on disks, so that i can reformat and be back to normal bar a few settings / updates in a few hours.

Problem now with combofix is it detects that avira and this flaming antivirus plus are running, but I am unable to disable either of them.

It warns me that it probably wont work properly, should I continue with it regardless?

Reboot and go into SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING (Keep pressing F8 at boot up)
Download a fresh copy of combofix and RENAME it to something random (fn8734hter.exe)
    Run it then

  • Have done that and still the same says it detects that the 2 antivirus programmes are running!

It warns that it could be harmful to continue, so I'm hesitant to!

Try and stop the 2 processes in task manager - ignore the usual warnings.
  • Neither process shows up in task manager:(
