Emergency grant to replace boiler for 72 disabled pensioner PLEASE HELP

(Apologies if this is the wrong board, wasn't sure where to put it)
My mum is 72 and has chronic MS and a back injury so is wheelchair and housebound. She is also in serious financial trouble (that's another story).
And now her boiler has packed up, she still has central heating (thankfully) but no hot water. She massively relies on hot baths each night to help relax her muscles and control the pain.
British Gas say it'll be around £2-£3k to replace the boiler. I have tried speaking to the Warm Front people who say she would def by eligible and the earliest they could send an assessor is March and it could then take up to 6 months for installation. There's apparently no way round this as it's a queueing system only. They were far from sympathetic.
She can't live without hot water for 7 months but at the same time can't afford a new boiler. Does anyone know of any grants or charitable funds or anything that could help? Or anything else we could try before I have to take a loan to try and cover the cost?
Am so stressed and desperate about this any advice would be very very much appreciated.
Thanks
if it helps i would be happy to install the boiler free of charge for your mum if you pay for materails ..if shes not to far awayX British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.

Hi
Unless I'm missing something so far no one has asked the OP (chop) for the make and model of the boiler. This would give a clue as to the system type.
It might be possible to repair the boiler.
Is it a house or bungalow.?
Rented?
If it's beyond repair then heating eng can replace it, she lives in Weston Super Mare, Not really local to Yorkshire though.

Oh dear that makes it rather worse then doesn't it? Carp company!
Cheers
Not sure if its worse or not ,engineers did get paid for every boiler sale £20 per sale but when the papers heard about it they changed it to £10 per lead , since then they have made it a bit harder to track but it could mean about £14 per lead for some engineers .X British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.

Do i detect a certain amount of jellousy from others in our industry, they secretly want to work for BG but they pretend to hate with a vengence BG... Why not concentrate on your own 2 bit 1 man band companys and if you spent as much time on them as you do slagging BG off you may make a success of your own company!!!!! We get paid £10.00 thats all for getting a salesman through the door. If it sells we get no more, so thats it £10.00 we are hardly going to make a fortune...GET OF OUR BACKS... We are just working for BG....We are not the MD...0

You also get team reward which can add upto to around £8 per lead but is normally around £4 .
I am just telling people the truth thats all , i dont have anything to hide.
I worked at BG for 20 years so there is no jellousy from me ,i could go back tomorrow if i wanted but wouldnt want to go back.
Like i have said in many posts BG engineers are very good and normally better than most plumbers, this is how ever changing as many of the best engineers are leaving and BG are recruiting people that are not as good .X British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.

It's a shame a well meaning and heart felt post has deteriorated to a BG slanging match:(
With any company as big as BG you will always get those along for the ride and giving the company a bad name.
You never hear of the good ones, because bad news makes good news.
I've come across good and bad with BG. My main gripe is with their salesmen who seem to know nothing other than the hard sell.
Many of my local BG engineers have told me some horrendous stories of what they were supposed to fit/do after the salesman had been, that couldn't be done.
And no. I'm nothing to do with BG, just a very successful one man band;)0 -

sales people are there to sell if they dont sell they dont get paid (or very little) but the engineers get a good wage and then just a little extra for giving best advice (or thats what they call it)
all in all i would say BG are a very good companyX British Gas engineer and X BG sales adviser.

If you want people to get off your back stop complaining when anyone says anything against BG. You might be the worlds greatest employee but not everyone is. I work for a very large company but I wouldn't think of coming on here defending them blindly like you seem to do.:(:(:(:(
