Cheapest flight from Bristol to Faro in July/August-do I book now or wait for sales?

Just looking on skyscanner and Ryanair and Easyjet fly to Faro from Bristol

The skyscanner results in table mode are really misleading, it says there is a flight at 11am with Ryanair on the 26th but there actually isn't? Never had this problem before so am a bit confused!

Do you think I should book it now so I know it's done or wait and see if there is a sale by ryanair/easyjet? Do they do July / August sales? I'm looking at dates between the 26th July and 4th August with 2/3 days leeway either side.

Thanks!

Their websites both have flexible search features, so open ryanair in one window and easyjet in another, then adjust them so you can have them side by side, then do searches to find the best match that suits you.
Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.
  • Thanks Richard I'm just about to do that. do you know if either company holds sales for around these dates or is it too peak?

Whether Ryanair and Easyjet will do sales for the school summer holiday period and which routes they will cover will depend entirely how their bookings are. If they are below expectations there will be a sale. But you will have to wait quite a bit as the Ryanair sales have been stuck on Feb/March flights for ages. The Easyjet fares usually do not drop much in a sale. Sometimes they even go up. If you are prepared to wait and gamble you might get a cheap charter flight from Bristol to Faro.

dont forget a free hotel and parking via my thread in Grabbit.
  • Thanks apt, that makes sense I suppose I was hoping someone would say their sale is on X date and Faro will definitely be on sale!

When I looked about 5 days ago flights were about £90, I didn't book it not because of the rice but because I had to check something with other people and thought I had plenty of time (10 days ish) but now they are all £150+ and skyscanner is behaving weirdly not telling me the true cost of the flight!

Apparently Tuesdays are busy days to book flights so I think I will re-examine things tomorrow!
  • Thanks Tbeckett, I just found it! Luckily I live in Bristol not far from the airport so will either get the bus or share a taxi depending which is cheaper of course!
