  • Oh crikey - the wedding gods are well against me, I cant believe this after getting double booked church sorted - I hadnt had any contact with evening reception place (for 120) for a few months, the website is down so assumed that the email is too....went in last night to sort things whilst I was in town, owner not about to speak to BUT also no record of my booking in the booking book! I am literally cursed!

Left a note to contact me, and got a mobile no, just rang and left voicemail.....hmph.

Im thinking best mate was right - should have just booked it all in a big hotel who are organised and have a planner ect. Is anyone else as unlucky as me?

Oh no, Dita - what a nightmare!!!! I so hope you get it sorted ASAP. A little bit stressful I can imagine!!!

Ummmm, I have been pretty unlucky with the wedding thing but now see it as a blessing in disguise (in my positive moments anyway)!!! Oh and mine was in a big hotel where everything should supposedly run smoothly - ha!!!!

ETA: Did they tell you if they had anything else for that date and have you paid a deposit?

Well that's got to be a good thing. It is very unlikely that your evening is going to be booked up before they return your phone call (touch wood anyway!!). I wonder why both your venues have made a mistake? I would keep on at them though until you get a response then at least you can relax a little. :)

Oh and I am sure my 'situation' will sort itself out, one way or another. :D

Maybe you're getting all of your troubles out of the way before you wed and lead a trouble free life?

    Just a thought.

I hoping your wedding will go without a hitch lol.

    Big hugs xx

This sounds terrible, I hope you get it all sorted soon, at least the date is still free :) I don't mean this to sound rude but did you not find it a bit odd that you didn't have to pay a deposit?
  • Still no phone call or email - Deposit wise, its just a normal pub, we arent paying room hire and he was sourcing outside catering / band ect so as yet there is nothing to pay a deposit on.... I wish I could - Ive got it all in a seperate account - I want to pay everything upfront but no one seems blinking organised!!
