I would seriously contact Oxfam.
The thing is I don't believe they are allowed to just put electrical stuff on the shelf and sell it. I think they have to get them checked out. Which is why most charity shops don't accept electrical goods.
My point is that often these places will have a guy come round once a week to test the electrical donations. Which means if you are quick they might still have it.0 -
I have checked already and it's not there. It was a while ago.0

Ring and tell them you want to cancel, they will cancel it and dont tell them you dont ahve the box. They will never collect, then sign up as a new customer later on and say the box was collected! They wont be able to trace it!

They dont, outside contractors do. And your theory is rubbish. As an ex NTL/VM Engineer,I speak from experience.0 -
I moved home to a non cabled area. someone came and picked up my box from the new house about 2 weeks later. And then there was a mess up with some paperwork and they chased me about it as they had no record of it being collected. I told them it had (I had the paper receipt from the collector) but they just took my word for it that it had and asked for no details.0

Ive had a friend whose had their box 6 yrs unused in the garage!
Oh and it would work if you cancelled as I have done that with one of my boxes and I bet if I sign up again and ask for it to be connected they will either send an engineer to connect it up etc.If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0
