Cancelling fast4

Just a warning for anyone who has a fast4 dial up and free talk package - if you want to cancel your internet account fast4 will only accept your one months notice once the freetalk account has been cancelled, which they say will takes about a month. In effect you have to give 2 (or possibly even 3) months notice which is a bit of a pain.

Has anyone cancelled Fast4 dial-up (Fast 4 Unlimited Monthly).
As far as I can see in the T&C there is no notice at all to cancel it.

What I am asking is how you cancel it without spending the equivalent of another month... (i.e. I do not want to call their 0870 number or send a letter to their offices).

Will a request on their control panel be accepted for a closure?

To cancel go to the members area and sign in, then go to 'my account'. there is a 'cancel account' button. This may be greyed out, mine was, if it is then you may have to wait until the last day of the month to cancel it. I received an email telling me that my month was about to expire, the cancel account button is not greyed out anymore.

I was a Fast 4 dial-up customer until 2 months ago, and had been with them for about 3 years. Now with Primus BB. Had absolutely no probs. closing my account, but you have to be very careful and close it down on the last day BEFORE your monthly payment is due and make sure you have cancelled your DD. I e-mailed them in accounts on the member's section and was told exactly what to do by a very helpful person.
