Is my new phone locked?

I have just bought a new unlocked Nokia 1208 for £25. The high street retailer offered to insert the sim from my old phone which, as I am rather clumsy, I accepted. I have tried the phone. Does this mean the phone is
"locked" onto my Orange sim? I had intended to find a new service provider.

    Phones are locked before supply
If you bought an unlocked phone it is still unlocked Using it with a certain SIM will not lock it to that SIM

Try a friends different SIM inn it if you want to be sure
