PAYG Phone

Hi, I am looking at buying a new handset for OH for V day. I've seen one in CPW, but it says you have to buy with topup. This is fine, but I wanted to know if you can apply this topup to an existing sim (same network!) as he won't want to change his number.

Morning Mermaid85, the new phone will come with a new network sim, which means a new number, but....I bought a new phone from Vodaphone in January, which meant I had to buy the top up aswell, but they gave a voucher with the top up code, so I used this on my existing Sim/number !

When I bought one as a gift from CPW the top up had to go onto the PAYG SIM that came with it, which was a pain.

People sell the SIMs with the credit pre-loaded on eBay or Amazon, so if you can't transfer the balance across that is an option.

Many phones sold in CPW are SIM-Free stock, check whether yours will be and work out if it is cheaper buying on another 'network' even with top-up and as the phone isn't locked use your existing SIM and sell the other.

Vodafone used to, don't know if still do will allow you to transfer credit across from one SIM to the other.

I recently bought a phone from CPW and was £30 cheaper to get 'on Orange', even though that wasn't the network I would be using, but as it was SIM Free stock that was fine.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
