Good grief - 3 days? I was on the doctor's version (superstrong) for ages before they mentioned that it could be a problem.
Just as well I already knew and only took them as a last resort, actively reducing the amount of soluble ones I took by a spoonful every time I could get away with it.
But other than needing smoother coatings (I detest the powdery paracetamol), I always get generics, whether caplets, smooth coating or gels when the GP doesn't prescribe something (which they usually do)
