The sad thing is they win....they charge more, add interest etc etc, whilst other creditors who behave in a more reasoned and organised basis receive less in the end
I have been in lloyds collections for 12 months apparantly.....no sign of selling on to a DCA
Why should they I keep paying them every month wiothout fail, they add on as much interest as they can and now charges, so they would be mad to move me on. I feel totally powerless
Hi
I was with collections since 2005. Only now in Dec 2009 did i finally managed to get it passed onto their dca - BLS Collections. I basically phoned and begged them to pass it on. Telling them i was drowning in this debt. I owed Lloyds around £12000 in 2005. My balance in Nobember 2009 was roughly £11000. And that's after paying £202 per month every month for 5 years to them on my dmp. Added interest and charges to the balance was burying me. And we tried and tried and tried to get the interest stopped, with no luck. You've got to keep on at them. Send them the letter template of getting interest stopped every month, and send it recorded delivery. Keep track of everything. File a formal complaint with them. Just try everything, coz it's only you that'll lose in the end. Keep at it until someone listens.DFD February 2012

Tell me about it! Scared the hell out of us for years. But we were fighting a nameless faceless person on the phone for 5 years. We finally took more drastic measures, and now we can pay it off. We've been promised no more charges or interest will be added thank god. That's why i say, don't just expect them to stop it after they've seen you've been loyal. It doesn't work like that. Fight for that interest to be stopped now. Or end up like us

I have been lloyds bank on a DMP for ages, they never get letters from CCCS, never get letteres from me, and continue charging interest
In November we reduced payments to all creditors on a DMP, and communicated....Lloyds 'never got that either' and started charging high interest again
anyway, cut a long story short, last week my wife finally spoke to a human being, who acknowledged receipt of this, and agreed a reduced payment plan....
meanwhile they have reduced the Od - WHICH they were doing every month in line with the old payments....which has meant with the interest we have gone over the overdraft, and the letter received this am says we are bing charged £15 plus £6 a DAY - Yes £6 a day!.
spoke to them on the phone, the answer I am getting is, until you get the account back under the OD limit, we cant cease charges.....going round in circiles
If I write (even recorded delivery) they ignore and say they havent got it. If I phone I speak to someone half way round the world who doesnt know who CCCS are or what a DMP is....
I know I can write to thje ombudsman but that will take forever....ideas please I am close to tears here

I can assure you they do get the letters that CCCS send out, they just don't like to admit it. Make a formal complaint like did and they will suddenly find them or send in a subject acess request notification, they will have to find them to copy them to give to you.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

lloyds don't tend to sell the accounts the ame as other banks do, the reason being if it's a bank account they will give you account back with a full debit card and overdraught once it's paid off. You could always stop paying and then they will more than likely after so many leters sell the account which a DCA has to stop the interest. I did this with Halfix credit card and fortunately it worked. The chances are you already have neumerous defaults so wht difference is another one going to make, unless of coures it is a bank accont and you want the use back later.OHNOANOTHERDFW wrote: »its amazing isnt it.....its in the interest of Lloyds to ignore all CCCS correspondence, and keep whacking on charges and then putting the ownership back on us

yeah my credit record is shot....I would love to stop paying or reduce payments hoping they passed to DCA
BUT....CCCS wont do this - they insist on attributing payments across crediotrs pro rata'd to monthly payments expected. My only choice would be to go it alone and do my own DMP
2 risks with this
1 - can I cope with 11 creditors? especially as CCCS have maanged them all via 1 payment I have made each month
2 - will the other creditors react negatively to a self managed dmp?0 -
If everyone else is accepting and its being paid off, I wouldn't endanger all of that for Lloyds. maybe bombarding them with letters might work. The OH just spoke to a chap and after explaining the situation 4 times, he seemed to get it and said he's deal. Unfortunately, didn't get a name because of the accent.More than Two Years in

i dont want ot be doom n gloom, but my OH has had numerous nice chats where the operative was away to amend the account on the computer to stop excessive OD charges and ensure the DMP was reocngised, but it never happens (hope I am wrong)
re bombariding them with letters....they simple file them in the bin and claim they didnt receive
sorry, I am totally depressed and dont hink this will ever help. cccs told me 5 yrs and 4 months all being equal assuming frozen interest....2 yrs on we increased for the 2nd yr payments by 50% and we are still I calculate 8yrs and 9 months away
wish id gone bankrupt0
