Hello

I have been lloyds bank on a DMP for ages, they never get letters from CCCS, never get letteres from me, and continue charging interest

In November we reduced payments to all creditors on a DMP, and communicated....Lloyds 'never got that either' and started charging high interest again

anyway, cut a long story short, last week oh finally spoke to a human being, who acknowledged receipt of this, and agreed a reduced payment plan....

meanwhile they have reduced the Od - WHICH they were doing every month in line with the old payments....which has meant with the interest we have gone over the overdraft, and the letter received this am says we are bing charged £15 plus £6 a DAY - Yes £6 a day!.

spoke to them on the phone, the answer I am getting is, until you get the account back under the OD limit, we cant cease charges.....going round in circiles

If I write (even recorded delivery) they ignore and say they havent got it. If I phone I speak to someone half way round the world who doesnt know who CCCS are or what a DMP is....

I know I can write to thje ombudsman but that will take forever....ideas please I am close to tears here

What has CCCS said regarding this? If i were you, i'd get your case officer to phone them and explain that you're on a dmp. Surely when you started the dmp, CCCS would of got an offer of payment from LLoyds TSB. Ask them to re-send your financial statement, and offer of payment to Lloyds TSB.
Is it a case of they have accepted you're on a dmp and your lower payments but still charging interest, or have they not accepted the dmp at all? I only ask as LLoyds have no obligation to stop interest, and from past experiences, it can take alot to get them to stop it.
I think first - get your case officer on the phone to them to find answers and to re-send your details. Phone the collections dept (if that who your debt is with) and give them your case number ie dmp number, and explain your situation.
Secondly, follow their complaints procedure found on their website. Keep the letter/proof that you sent it, and if they haven't responded in 8 weeks, go to the FOS.
In the meantime though, get CCCS to resend everything, and give LLoyds your case number.

  • Hi, CCCS have written in 5 times since Octobe rproviding details of our SOA, and the lady said this is typical of Lloyds they are known for it

CCCS only have 1 correspondence address which they insist on using but ALWAYS include case reference number with letters, they will not phone!

The issue isnt interest (well it is but I know they are not obliged.....) its this letter this am, stating we are now being charged £15 for being over the OD limit, and £6 a day

when we started the OD was 3k +, and with each payment they reduced the limit down, thereby reducing our credit - which worked fine. However since November we have paid less, but theeir computer insists on reducing the limit down regardless as they are not acknowledging we will pay less. therefore we go over the new reduced limit, even though we pay everymonth on time via CCCS

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH....

Sorry lloyds have given me high blood pressure

No worries! Lloyds are exactly like that. Believe me I know.
Which department are you dealing with at Lloyds? Is it collections?

This *might* be a good thing, as if it gets worse they're more likely to send it to a DCA, and they'll be easier to negotiate with.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

They did the same to me with an overdraft of £350 - my mum paid it off and they immediately started to charge interest on the credit card bill I had with them. Lloyds TSB remain were the worst of my creditors to deal with and remain so, even as I near the end of my debt hell - I'll never use any of their products or services again - it's their loss ultimately.

I'm the same with Lloyds. Have O/D, loan and credit card debt with them. The loan and credit card have come to agreement with regards to accepting payment plan, also reduced loan from just over £11K to £5K, simply by getting them to pay me back PPI on this loan. So happy in that regard.

But O/D having the same problems, always stating that they have not received uptodate I&E, or gone over the o/d limit, how this is possible as I do not/have not used this account for the past 2 years and 4 months (length of time on DMP) and never have had peace of mind where this particular debt concerned. Hate, hate lloyds  and also once I have got rid of this stone around my neck will never, ever touch them or any other financial institution again, cash is and will continue to be my best friend.

    Good luck all

  • sent Lloyds the usual stuff when we started our DMP with CCCS. They replied to CCCS right away saying that the account numbers were wrong (they were not wrong). No we have had a letter saying that they have received our letter (not the one fromCCCS) and we need to send them a full SOA. I phoned them on the number provided one the letters and they told me that they were not dealing with our accounts and knew notheing about them. I did manage to speak to a very nice guy who apologised and gave me an address to contact although he said that even he couldn't phone them internally!!! I have sent our SOA and the CCCS letter again to this address (recorded delivery) which they received this morning. I have the address in my copious LLoyds file if anyone wants to try it this way, just not sure about posting an address on the threads.

I detest Lloyds TSB - I currently owe them in excess of £12,500. Once this has been paid back I will never ever deal with them again!
    LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

    Barclays: £2,928.34 Lloyds: £2,499.60
    MBNA: £3,788.99 Overdraft: £1,900.00 Mum: £1,738.00

    Surveys: £6.60/£40.00
  • its amazing isnt it.....its in the interest of Lloyds to ignore all CCCS correspondence, and keep whacking on charges and then putting the ownership back on us

The sad thing is they win....they charge more, add interest etc etc, whilst other creditors who behave in a more reasoned and organised basis receive less in the end

I have been in lloyds collections for 12 months apparantly.....no sign of selling on to a DCA

Why should they I keep paying them every month wiothout fail, they add on as much interest as they can and now charges, so they would be mad to move me on. I feel totally powerless
  • I was just reading your post Ohno when they phoned for the OH. Could he phone them on this number? I told them that he had phoned on that number and no one there knew anything about our account. he hung up!!!
