Sammy-that would seriously wind me up! DH and I were discussing dividing jobs up into 'blue/pink' the other day after yet another argument about tidying up...I say doing the bins is a 'blue' job ergo MEN have to do it! Its like putting windshield washing stuff in the car-def a 'blue' job. Cleaning the toilet is a 'pink' job, one which I am genetically built to do. Some jobs are 'lavender' which means non-gender specific ie. putting kids to bed or school run.
*awaits the backlash*Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Bunnyinthelights you should def go! They're a great family trip i think, and not too expensive. A lot cosier than camping, but cheaper than a hotel/b&b!
The only problem we have is we have a 'landline' fridge which means that if we take her out we cant run the fridge (or the tv) so we have to put stuff in a coolbox. We also only have a 1 shelf freezer too so i cant freeze an awful lot!February Grocery Challenge- £140/£200 Spent.
Weekly Spend Challenge- £0/£5 Spent.
Crazy Clothes Challenge- £0/£100 Spent

Washing the dishes is a pink job-but putting them AWAY is lavender. (Men never wash the backs of plates or the outside of pots. FACT)Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0

No backlash from me, I would LOVE to assign some jobs to the blue column. :rotfl:
Nothing wrong with doing the jobs you are best suited to - what is a 'blue' job in your household might be a 'pink' job in someone elses. Having a fair split of jobs doesn't necessarily mean an equal split of jobs, or both taking turns at the same jobs. It's just about finding what works for your household.

My husband is a very 'blue' sort of man so it's easier for us-he does all the DIY (and very well as well) so the division is easier...I guess every couple has to work things out a way that suits them but I can't watch my DH do the dishes, it winds me up...lol
He is a good cook though, and can iron (but that has been relagated to a 'pink' job now) DH hoovers more frequently but isnt as thorough as I am.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0
