I've realised recently how much I've changed. I enjoy working but I love having a life. I got asked if I had applied for an internal job and I realised I really don't want a more demanding role than I have... very different to how I used to be a few years ago.

We have these statutory JDRs (Job Development Review) and they ask loads about aspirations, career planning 1 year, 5 year and 10 years!

They make you look like a complete moron if you say "Look, I'm happy where I am!"

The last time I did that my line manager looked at me as if I'd asked if I could stick a pencil up his bottom :rotfl:

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

    Evening all.

Just watching an hour of TV and coming here before crashing out ready for early start tomorrow.

I've realised recently how much I've changed. I enjoy working but I love having a life. I got asked if I had applied for an internal job and I realised I really don't want a more demanding role than I have... very different to how I used to be a few years ago.

I have also changed, I used to be so fixated with the climb that I never stopped to admire the view on the way up. I have decided that I am happy with the level I am at and the only move I will be making will be sideways.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Oh, nd the bucket works on a pump system - gravity drawn and moved away fuelled by a man on a bike - he's a fitness nut.
