It is definitely just the UK we are looking in, it says on the site "It is in the UK and it is somewhere that he will recognize upon being found."
"MIB requires that your guess is within four square metres". The UK is 243,610,000,000 metres squared. I'm not great with the maths, and I'm sure there are better ways, but the following gives a rough estimate. To cover the entire UK and be within 4 metres from every point with the minimum number of squares you could use squares of side sq root 32 and with a diagonal of 8 metres. These squares will have an area of 32 metres squared. 243,610,000,000 divided by 32 is 7,612,812,500. This is roughly how many guesses you will need to make to ensure the whole UK is covered.
Basically what I'm trying to say is "good luck"!:rotfl:
Not really, a large area is water, another larger area is too rough to be in the game.. Snowdon as an example, and some larger areas in total are private and not possible....as if it's going to be in Buckingham Palace or any of our bathrooms for example.
Smells a lot of Derren Brown and his BS tricks to me...I bet the winner already knows they won or some silliness befalls the seekers since someone must know the answer. lol
GL if you go for it. IF anyine can win this an MSEr can ..or WE can. I'm not playing but I'll try and help those who are on principle

This is now live.
I've had a little look and it suggests that the place he is means something to him.
it also says to contact people he knows from facebook etc for clues. A bit stalkerish if you ask me. I went to school with his wife and sister in law and would feel uncomfortable asking them.
Hes from sheffield though, so crosspool might be worth a punt or around the gleadless area, or possibly hallam fm towers in hillsbrough.
Good luck all that enter x:j It doesn't get any better than this :j0 -

I've tried following the stumbleupon lead to check out the clue, but I can't even work out which of the lines actually is the clue, so not much hope there.
I think the best we can hope for is that an MSEer sees the dratted box parked somewhere and lets us all know. Otherwise it's a case of listening to the guy when he's awake (he was asleep when I looked) and taking as many shots at it as you have time for. This could take a while!
Good luck anyone who thinks they have a chance, if I can't win it myself I'd like it to be another MSEer

well, no one found him (you had to be within 4 metres and the clues were far too vague - though i suspect there is some gps or ordinance survey code embedded in them somehow - possibly via frequencies).
he's out of the box, but wasn't told the location, so the comp is live again from 12pm today...Same as before, though the prize has changed. It's no longer £30k...but they don't tell you what it actually is, which will surely get them into trouble?0
