Cooilng Off Periods? Phones4U

Bought a Blackberry on an orange contract via Phones4U instore 5 days ago.

However I get no signal whatsoever in my house. What can I do about this? I have spoken to phones4u and they reckon there is no cooling off period if bought in store.

It is a 2yr contract and I'd really like to get off it asap.

Thanks in advance

You may have a get out if there is no siganl, what network was it on? Some network give you a few days exactly for that reason, however it really does mean no signal. A 1 bar basic voice only will be classed as a signal.
Remember thats also outside no network will guarantee a signal in a building.

Youre screwed basically, your only option is to speak to Orange direct and state that you have no signal. Did you not do a signal checker before choosing? As for Phones 4 U.........

    Doh, read the OP fully..

Call Orange they used to do a guarantee you would be in coverage and would consider cancelling the contract in the first few days. That said these satisfaction guarantees have been dropping away as margins are tight.

Your contract also is with P4U and if they say no then you may get no joy regardless of what Orange say.

    Sorry it's not better news.

If you can't get out of your contract, the Blackberry should have a feature called UMA which will allow you to make/receive calls over wifi.
