Hello darling
Hope you are OK? I wonder is there any way you could save up for the work, ie 2/3 "spare money" to the CCs, 1/3 to the house? anything like that?
Anyway, I hope you hear from your daughter soon, you muist be out of your mind. try not to worry, Ive tried to call my folks while I ve been away, but luckily for them I had problems connecting, I was always asking for money
Sending hugs xxx:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Yes Lynz, I'm thinking along those lines, proportioning money to debt payment and to the house improvements. OH is like a dog with two tails now we're here, dying to get on with the work. He spends a lot of his free time taking measurements and drawing sketches of how its going to look. He's found a couple of carpenters at work who will do the loft extension hard part for £4,000 which is pretty damn good for a loft. Trouble is we've got to find the money from somewhere. I really really really dont want to getinto any more debt as its such a struggle to pay back. Still no news from daughter but son said to me for goodness sake mum she's on holiday in THAILAND, do you really think she's thinking about emailling home all the time. Well, that did make me feel a bit better but still uneasy. Have now got upset stomach and am supposed to be at work tomorrow. Had 2 days off last week with this flu thing and 2 days week before for moving. Dont think theyd tolerate me being off again but i really dont feel well. In fact I feel sick as a parrot. think the stress of it all has affected my immune system as it did last January when I had one thing after the other really badly. The 6 week holiday cant come soon enough for me. hope i can make it to the end of term (this week and next 2 days after weekend.)lynzpower wrote:Hello darling

Hi Tes
They are good thanks for asking. We've had a few setbacks recently (OH has been made redundant and I've had my purse stolen) but we seem to be getting through it all. I've just started a new job so am working pretty long hours some days but I'm really enjoying it, and am continuing to chip away at the debt slowly but surely!

Thats good, Littlemiss, glad you are coping well. Sorry to hear about the setbacks though. I got an email from my daughter today. It was exactly as my son said. She has been very busy, snorkelling coral reefs, swimming, taking boat trips. She has moved on now so I shall try not to worry. Must go now as its late. Incidentally, I managed work today but now also have badly upset stomach. Hope I can make it tomorrow. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
