PlusNet has deleted hundreds of gigabytes of its customers' email during a storage update. The blunder also left about half its 140,000 punters unable to send and receive new email until this morning.

Yes it 's a pain. Plusnet problems Friday and Saturday prevented me getting my email and I did eventually get webmail access late Saturday to read what was there. I was hoping to download to my email client when I got back home. However by that time, all the email had gone. Plusnet are claiming that they will try to recover the missing emails but I am not holding my breath. Good job they revamped the help desk system so nobody can report it

:j You should have a back-up, I have a free yahoo and gmail account, which I use all the time I never use my force9 mail account, just sign-up for yahoo, it's free and also has my web which is free and you can back up all your bookmarks in that, just a suggestion as I have'nt been caught out by this as I don't use my force9 mail, and I'll have left force9 within the next 2 weeks any how as I think it's gone down the tube since march 06. not a satisfied customer,T
