Ok then, can you go through then the dialogue of the meeting/memo that would make this an actual business decision if you think thats what has actually whats happened? Because come on, this would have to be an official national thing from what you're saying so just enlighten me as to how you think they've communicated it to their employees?

Because it would be watertight. They'd have sections telling employee's exactly what to say to customers if challenged. So can you tell me, how do you think they actually went about this and how was it made watertight with the employee's FAQ? How did they go about this?

I'm sure you'll give me a good answer!!!! Maybe even show me a copy of how you think the memo went!!!!!

Glad to see by Page 2, this thread is retaining its light heartedness!! :D

That was great. I always imagined a man with a rugby like physique crying in Morrison's about his cream bun. I don't know why this image amuses me so much.

Another example of supermarkets misleading their customers. Have a look at Horlicks, the 500g refill pack is usually more than a standard pack plus the large pack costs more per kg. This is because it is only 800g not double the small pack as it used to be.

Asda do deals like this all the time.

Before I've seen something, can't remember what it was off the top of my head but it was about 44p each or 2 for £1, people were buying two thinking they were getting a deal. Its false marketing, their not mistakes.

Currently they are selling Cravendale milk 2 for £3, as the milk is £1.60 each you'd be fooled into thinking you were getting a deal, fair enough its only 20p, but 20p in your pocket is better than in theirs right?

Well wrong, ASDA's own milk (4 pints) is £1.40, buying 2 is cheaper than the cravendale, and they also do a 1% fat milk that is only £1 for 4 pints, so if you bought two of those you could save yourself £1.

I think its disgusting how they manipulate the fact that people like to think their getting a bargain, but at the same time part of me wonders why people never realise that they are getting duped

But Cravendale is not "like for like" of the Asda milk. Cravendale is longer life milk. Also, its a better deal than buying it singularly.

You can't really say its not a bargain just because they're is a different brand is cheaper.

    Just got back from Asda.

15 cans of coca cola £4.00...(box)

    right next to

16 cans of coca cola £6.00...(2x8packs)

Suffice to say there were not many boxes left, but plenty of eight packs.

Asda milk is longer life milk too. It's guaranteed to last for 1 week. I used to work there and it used to get reduced stickers on it 7 days before it expired.

Noticed this at Tesco on the nuts at the moment, 55p for flaked almonds or two for £1.60. What a great bargain!!! They have several bags at over 90p a bag but if you just so happen to like flaked almonds you get done. What a bunch of scheming sods. Hoping that we won't notice. Very misleading practice.

Noticed it on various other products too over the past little while.

Doing my online shop a couple of weeks ago and ordered a carton of NCG soup for £1.04. The site kept telling me that as I had only bought one I had missed an offer - 2 for £3. Don't know how but I managed to resist and only bought the one. :rotfl:
