It's not just Tesco I've seen it in Asda and Sainsburys in the past. It's easy not to realise when you see the offer which is why it often goes unoticed.0

They've been selling bottles of Irn Bru - 65p each or 2 for £1.60 at my local express for about a month. The Summer Holiday of a Lifetime0

Asda do deals like this all the time.
Before I've seen something, can't remember what it was off the top of my head but it was about 44p each or 2 for £1, people were buying two thinking they were getting a deal. Its false marketing, their not mistakes.
Currently they are selling Cravendale milk 2 for £3, as the milk is £1.60 each you'd be fooled into thinking you were getting a deal, fair enough its only 20p, but 20p in your pocket is better than in theirs right?
Well wrong, ASDA's own milk (4 pints) is £1.40, buying 2 is cheaper than the cravendale, and they also do a 1% fat milk that is only £1 for 4 pints, so if you bought two of those you could save yourself £1.
I think its disgusting how they manipulate the fact that people like to think their getting a bargain, but at the same time part of me wonders why people never realise that they are getting dupedJust me, in my own little world

I don't know about the deals you have mentioned, but i work in Superdrug, where for example we have kids toothbrushes/toothpaste 2 for £2. One of the tootbrushes is 48p, so if you but two of those you will get charged 96p, but that is also in the offer with things like Strawberry toothpast (68p IIRC). 68p+48p=£1.16. So you do save money.
Its complicated!0 -

It's on a mix & match deal, hence you can add one of the more expensive drinks (Coke etc. at the min), and still get the offer of two for £1.60, although the discount will obviously be less
The cheap milk isn't actually quite as straightforward.
The £1 ones (Tesco, Asda & Farmfoods, dunno about the others) are actually 2L, not 4 pints. IIRC Cravendale also measures in litres.
The 4 pints ones tend to work out cheaper if they're on offer, but that depends on the precise offer.

I was in Tescos the other day and they had mash £1 each or 2 for £3 lol.Jan Wins: .0

I buy their lentils and a 500gm bag is 88p while a 1k bag,which equates to 2 x 500gm bags is £2.20 something.
There's a similar glitch on ground almonds.
It's just ridiculous,do they think we're stupid.
Or perhaps they think our maths is as bad as theirs.0
