Hi, I currently have an HSBC credit card which goes alongide by Debit card. I don't use it very regularly but my Mother has a M&S card and gets regular discount coupons and vouchers to spend at M&S - is it worth getting one of these cards to replace my HSBC card? Thanks

It's entirely up to you depending on what you find useful.
There are several offers around if you want rewards consider these:
Capital One Cashback (£18 annual fee, £10 annual reward, 1% Cashback)
Egg Money (£1 monthly fee, 1% cashback)
Amex Platinum Cashback (5% for first two months, 1.5% cashback thereafter, £250 / Month or £3,000 a year minimum spend)
There are others aswell, have a look around, if you always clear your credit card bill in full and have a half decent credit history a cashback card is always good to have in your walletCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

If your HSBC gives you nothing then it's always worth it to replace it for one that gives you something. Whichever you choose.
I personally have M&S card but then I shop a lot at M&S (wine etc) and I love the vouchers and discount coupons.0 -

NO !!! DO NOT GET A MARKS AND SPENCERS CREDIT CARD, the W:)(*ers have hiked up the interest rates so I stopped the account and therefore can stay on existing rates BUT they will no longer allow me view my account on line, its back to paper statements and they only do min payments via direct debit. If i want to change/paymore I have to set up a standing order and then cancel direct debit. WHY can I not log on to see MY own account!!!!! and why will I now have to call them everytime to make a bloody one off payment !!!!!!0

You don't have to call them to make a one off payment, you send it to your M&S card via your bank's online banking rather than M&S online using your debit card...

Feel better now?
Maybe the next paper statement you get will spell out how you can make an online payment to them without having to set up a standing order or cancel your direct debit. Details should be on the back of it.
I'm pretty sure that you're not the only M&S cardholder who's wanted to make additional payments - and I'm pretty sure they don't need to sacrifice a kidney in order to do it."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
I have my M&S card for 2 years now and never ever had problem... actually find that their service is excellent.
I pay every month in full via my internet banking on my current account. Takes all together 30secs.0 -
You can always pay your card off instore at any till0
