iPhone contract just £20

My 18 month contract with O2 ran out a week or so ago but naturally it continues on a rolling contract there on. I rang them up and managed to get a much better deal than my £35 a month I was on...

I'd upgraded to the 3G 18 months ago from the first model and gave the old one to my girlfriend. She was able to get a rolling monthly contract for just £20 a month with 600 minutes, 1200 texts and unlimited internet.

Now that my contract is over, I was able to get the same £20 deal. You actually get more and they don't tie you in.

Yep, that's the benefit of a 'sim only' contract....they don't give you a new, shiny phone (you keep your existing handset) and in return offer you a decent tariff.

It's how it happens with every mobile phone provider :T
