Thermostatic bath taps/shower mixer with a combi boiler?

I've just moved into a house with a combi boiler (a Glow Worm Compact 80p) and great water pressure. The bath taps are very hit and miss - half a turn gives hot water at a good temperature, the slightest adjustment either way results in either scorching hot water, or cold. I plan on installing a new bathroom suite, would it be advisable to use a thermostatic mixer including shower in the bath to make the temperature more constant?

Yes, this is a good idea with a combi boiler. We have a combi boiler and a thermostatic mixer for our shower - gives an excellent shower, benefit of mains pressure, with the thermostatic mixer giving consistant temperature.0

There are different types of thermostatic mixing valve, to put it rather simplistically if the shower mixer reduces the flow of hot water to reduce the shower temperature then the temperature of the hot water leaving the boiler will increase, so the two end up 'fighting' each other.
Get a thermostatic mixer specifically intended for combi boilers and you should be fine.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
If you are intending to get a tap and shower in the one unit another thing that can be an issue is the time it takes to fill the bath as flow rate of just the hot water is restricted.0

[FONT="]I would suggest you to, buy a new bath tap and shower, some new bath taps has come to market, with good designs and with all the latest features. You can just have a look at it before taking any decision. You can find it in internet, and then decide. Thanks for sharing.
