Anyone have experience of buymobilephones.net?

Hi everyone. I'm considering taking out a contract with https://www.buymobilephones.net. They have some extremely good offers (9 months line rental refund on a 12 month Orange contract), but I am just a bit wary as I've not heard any feedback (good or bad) about them.

Reading the Terms and Conditions it seems quite straightforward to claim the cashback and I can't see any catches.

Has anyone bought from them in the past or have any experience of them?

My girlfriend bought a Samsung S300 on T-Mobile Freetime 750 from them last year. No cashback involved, so can't comment on that, but otherwise the service was excellent. Phone dispatched quickly and all correct. One thing to note is that unlike some other online retaillers they actually mail you the contract and you have to sign it and post it back.

I've been looking for a good cashback deal too - and had a brief encounter with OneStop last week, but bad communications, and missed delivery dates led me to cancel my orders.

I've since placed an order with buymobiles.net and been trying without success to track some sort of customer feedback on them - or their previous name a1comms (a1comms still has a website that looks almost identical to buymobiles.net).

I spoke to a salesman there, had no issues getting through, they were very helpful - although aren't they always before buying though!, and the handset has arrived today, exactly as promised.

I rang "What Mobile" magazine where I saw "buymobilephones" ad, and they confirmed they've been advertising with them since at least September, and as far as they're concerned they're a good / reputable dealer (What Mobile mag. are fully aware of the VAT problems some dealers may be facing through a sister trade mag).

Can't comment on the cashback yet, but will do if/when I receive it.

Please note, the deals on these aren't quite as attractive as OSPS (I won't shop there on principle now) or buymobilephones.net.

Ok the phone I ordered arrived exactly when promised, paperwork was clear and easy to understand (Cashback is claimed on receipt of your 4th monthly bill and sending all the orginals in - they suggest keeping a photocopy of them for your own records).

I've contacted them since, and they've been quick to respond by phone and email - they seem pretty good so far...

Oh and the paperwork also clarifies what to do if porting your old number onto the new contract (effectively just let them know).

It all seems good to me - but still got a nagging doubt after seeing the latest thread on Forward Cellular going bust....

As they say, If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is...
