My insurance renewal for my car is due at the end of the month, I have looked around and the cheapest I have found is Aviva for £540. I'm with Directline but their renewal is £759!Ouch!I've been driving a year, reason why its soo high
.
Anyway I just wanted to know if Aviva are any good? Thanks

There are several posts on here from people (including me!) who would advise against Aviva."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Aviva life and pensions are fine but I wont use them for general insurance.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

 I asked about renewing with Aviva recently and didn't really get any negative feedback.

I still haven't renewed as I'm still considering my options, having thoroughly read the policies of Aviva, Co-operative Insurance and RAC, but reading this topic it looks like I should go elsewhere.0 -

aviva are NOT good for new drivers, they tend to make the quote high to try and put off new drivers insuring with them.
Plus aviva ALWAYS put your quote up after the first year (for no reason), They are much more suited to older people who have alot of no claims & want to protect their no claims.
Ive been driving for 2 years and my first years insurance was £620 with Quinn, but ive checked my renewel with them and theyve put it up by £100. So ive been checking quotes and hastings direct have been the cheapest for me at £489.
my own personal view on why aviva's stupidly high premiums is because all them millions they paid bruse willis etc for their adverts0
