I could NEVER trust myself to have sharp knives in a drawer, they're sneaky ruddy things and I reckon I'd have a finger off eventually. Any way, if I had them in a drawer I reckon they'd get blunt and me plus blunt knives together are more dangerous than sharp ones. Same reason knives are never immersed in the washing-up bowl round here. I need sharp blades in plain sight where I can keep a beady eye on them.
    OMG! you're so right!

they need to be kept in plain sight, otherwise they get up to all sorts of mischief, I have a washing-up scar from age 7 to prove it :o

& blunt ones are even worse, they lull you into a false sense of security, then do evil stuff

I never put sharp knives in a washing up bowl either. I've had my knives for many years and they're not blunt by being kept in a drawer.
