Buyer wants to cancel after winning item

Hello,

This aftertoon i sold an new xbox guitar hero bundle, everything was clearly marked down in my listing, i also alway write "if any question please email me before item ends".
Sold the item then buyer asks how much is postage and cans he can pay direct into my account, i replied say refered using paypal, safer for both parties.
Then she asks if the guitar is wireless, I replied no they are all wired.
Comes back with she has made a mistake and didnt read my listing.
Is there a way that i can cancel her winning bid after its ended and not have to pay ebay any fees?

unfortunately the very nature of the product will inevitably attract kids and the intellectually challenged. i can see why sellers are deserting ebay in droves.:money:

That's a bit unfair. I'm not a kid or intellectually challenged, but I am a HUGE guitar hero fan, as is my brother & the vast majority of my friends.

OP, you could try a mutual cancellation if you really want to cancel the bid, I think that way you'd get your FVFs back. You might also be able to do offer it to the second highest bidder once thats done.

Be careful though with a mutual as a buyer too stupid to ask questions first is not likely to be able to work out how to accept a mutual and if that happens you are stuck with all the fees.

The only sure way of getting your FVFs back is to do a full NPB on day 4 and close it 4 days later.

Also, for future reference if a buyer offers direct payment via bank transfer hug them and then bite their hand off before they change their mind. Safrer by far for a seller and with no nasty fees to pay, I offer it on my auctions and no one ever uses it .....which is sad.

You'll be having a short experience as an Ebay buyer then!
  • Non paying bidders really p*ss me off!!! I have one at the moment who purchased an item last Sunday and after 7 days has made no contact or payment. Payment terms are within 3 days so today I have filed a non-payment. Why bid if you don't want it????

As much as I really don't want to feed the troll, I've got to ask, why bid on it if you do not want it?

"lol" - if that makes it more eligible for a response.
