Big hugs to Lady L and Hellsbells - BDs are simply not allowed and we will all send cyber thoughts to banish them away. Flipping things. Thinking of you.

Cyclingyorkie and Pigpen, well done to both of you on clearing debts. Want to do some of mine?!!

Anyone fancy a HHC 11.10 - 11.40? (sorry about funny timing!)

Pigpen/cyclingy - well done both of you!!!!

  • Pigpen - only had half a bottle (thank god) Cry did me good. Have had paracetamol coffee etc. But got lots of sneezes and can't get warm - might be a bit of a cold I suppose. It was all about feeling frustrated with my situation, not having any spare finances, DD's 1 &2 feeling exhausted from constantly battleing for everything they need... Lonliness everything really. Think I need to curl up on the settee under a blanket and have a little sleep, will probably feel better then.

Hugs, darling. Keep coming here and talking about it. It can be lonely with children sometimes.

    Morning all,

Congratulations to pigpen and cyclingyorkie on your debt payments - I look forward to seeing the race with the visa cards too.

Congratulations to sarah and her friend on the birth of little bundle - fingers crossed that she continues to do well, and grows up to be a little fighter.

Thanks for the well wishes to everyone who has sent them. I've discovered that my colleague is fairly unreliable throughout all of this. I asked her to pick up my literacy books and the boards that I'd got for them to build their lunar settlements on this week, and she's decided that she's not coming as she doesn't want to catch what I have - as if she'll get it through just picking stuff up at the door (considering she spent the whole day with me on Monday, there's more chance she caught it then)! I've also got a load of salt dough that I'd taken home and cooked that the kids are meant to be painting tomorrow. She said the kids can just work on paper for literacy - fair enough, but 3 of the books are meant to be going in for moderation tomorrow by the Head and Deputy, hence why I took them home to mark! She doesn't have to go out of her way to get them, as I'm on the way to or from the school for her, so she has plenty of opportunities to collect them.

I had another bad night, tossing and turning and waking up in a cold sweat, and then being freezing and then boiling etc - not sure how much is this bug, and how much is this new mattress - I'm really hoping it's the bug and not the mattress! Have a horrendous cough which I've not got rid of since a couple of weeks ago, and now all of my tummy and ribs hurt. OH's Mum cooked me dinner last night (we normally go round on a Tuesday) and she sent OH round with it (we live next door), but apart from that and an oatbake bar, I didn't eat anything else all day. Have to call the school at 2pm today to let them know about tomorrow. Is it better to go in tomorrow and Friday and risk not getting better, or should I take all of the week off? Just worried that the time off is next to a holiday so it looks bad.

Well I think I'm going to head back to bed to keep warm.

Hugs to LadyL - if you need to call me today, you know I'm home.

Found some excellent music to get me working hard whilst doing my HHC: Confessions on a Dance Floor by Madonna. I turn it up loud and blast my way around and even have a little boogie when I can  Yes, I am a bit strange before anyone says anything!!

    I've:
    made all beds
put away dry washing/put ready to iron
    hung up wet washing
picked up stuff on floor in lounge and in bedroom plus in kids rooms
    vacuumed right through
sorted darks for washing machine and put in WM ready with powder and Lenor

The house is looking much better already. Going to have to stop now as going to have a quick lunch and then got 4 jobs on the go which are paid so all good news :T
