The 0800 number appears to connect you to call center whose reply was to allow more time...ie up to the whole 45 days for the cashback to come through.....5 more days to go then!0

With regards to the question from marbar2k - You will have to look at your own terms and conditions. When I took mine out 12 months ago they only wanted a faxed copy through. Then half way through the year I had a big stand off with them when they refused to pay - they claimed there was no fax on file; I should have sent in the original and that I was then out of time with the wrong bill. Fortunately I'd kept a copy of my fax report and an email stating that faxed documentation was acceptable plus, we sorted out which bill it was over the phone and agreed which future bills were required. If you're not sure I'd try and get in touch with Melanie Booysen at: service@celltalk.co.uk so that you have a paper trail at least.
Its a long slog however, and I'd keep a record of everything you send, do etc. Thank goodness its the last one I'm waiting for. (still not arrived, but if the number of days is now 45 I'll have to be patient a little longer)0 -

Finally, received the money today. Its only taken 2 months and several phone calls, but perserverance paid off. If its any help to anyone I rang 0800 195 5442 and spoke to Craig Mark in customer services. He dealt with each call in a reasonable manner and at least it meant I spoke to the same person every time.0

has anyone had any contact with clubmobile in the last week? i sent my cashback and got my text stateing that it would be paid in 28 days and would show as mobileshop. I have not recieved my cashback so i thought i would give them a ring on the 0800 to see where it was up to but the number is just dead now, but the 2 fax machines still answer! does anyone have any other numbers?
Do you think mobileshop might have something to do with it if i contact them?Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -

If you have been told that your cashback will be identifiable as coming from Mobileshop (and this is indeed the case) then you probably have nothing to worry about - Mobileshop have had admin problems recently that have delayed a lot of their cashback payments.
However sceptical some people may be about the truth behind the excuses, people are nonetheless reporting that they are receiving their cashback, albeit later than promised.
The only question that I have about this situation is whether Mobileshop's purchase of certain Celltalk assets includes its creditor book (in which you will be listed). i.e. have they really taken on responsibility for the outstanding cashback payments?
The people that can confirm this are Begbies Traynor, the liquidators brought in to sell off all the assets and deal with all the company's creditors.
I'm sure you can find a contact number on their website:
http://www.begbiestraynor.co.uk/
Give them a ring and tell them that you are a creditor of Clubmobile (one of the Celltalk companies) and ask to speak to someone involved in the Mocom buyout.

can anyone shed anymore light on this? I have had no contact with anyone from clubmobile and i have not seen any cash back!
I am going to try and phone Begbies Traynor at lunch today. Do you think it would be worth trying Mobileshop?Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
Clubmobile is now part of a company called Talkingshop UK ltd, which in turn is part of Mocom, the owners of Mobileshop.co.uk.
The new address for Clubmobile / Talkingshop is:
Millennium House
Fox Covert Lane
Misterton
DN10 4ER
Their old contact numbers and email addresses are still the same:
service@celltalk.co.uk works, as does service@talkingshopuk.co.uk
The clubmobile.co.uk website is currently under construction and they reckon will be live within the next few days.
The telephone number for customer service is 0871 220 4611, you can also call 0800 138 5425 which gets you through to sales support, but if your call is about cashback they will tell you to call customer services, I don't think they can transfer the call.
According to their operators I have spoken to over the last few weeks and months, they are still processing cashback for old customers, nothing has changed and Mocom took on the full customer cashback liabilities.
I know, from personl experience, that they are having techincal issues as a result of the merger and that many custromers are experiencing big delays with getting cashback paid. It can take c. 60 days from the time they agree to pay your cashback. This is simply due to technical teething issues.
I also know, again from personal experience that if you are late with your claim, you won;t get it paid, even if you go to Mocom. There is no point going to Begbies Traynors was you are not a creditor of Celltalk, you are simply a customer who has been denied a cashback claim because you didn;t follow the exact T&Cs of the 'agreement'.
I tried to argue my case and got no-where.
I recommend that you ensure you have read your T&Cs properly and make sure you understand when you have to claim.
If you need any further info, I suggest you call them and speak to them, you might be in a queue for a few minutes, but in my experience they will eventually answer the phone and are generally quite helpful.
If you call them about your late cashback - if you REALLY REALLY want to get your payout quicker then demand that they send you a cheque, they can do that, but will only do it is you really kick off - personally I couldn't be bothered taking a cheque to the bank so I just waited and eventually got my money in my bank account. I feel really sorry for their staff as they must et battered by complaints everyday and it isn't that boy / girls fault. So when you demand your cheque, bear in mind that you are talking to a low level operator, not someone who is personally responsible for their late payment, the girl I spoke to said they regularly had people screaming / threatening them, this is not the way forward.
Hope alll of this helps.0
