    You'll have some overpayment which will need to be paid back to the SLC at any stage.

    If you complete the year, you'd need to obtain transfer notices for the change of course. If you change universities, it's a transfer notice from the old university and the new one.

    I'm guessing you're getting childcare through SFE. Again, you're only entitled to this while in attendance on the course. Where it's paid based on what you've estimated for the term, you'll then have a large overpayment from that if you leave. This again needs to be paid back straight away.
  • If you haven't already, make sure you speak to someone at your University (e.g. personal tutor) about your options: to make sure there's not a good alternative you're missing (e.g. doing criminology modules this term) and to keep on good terms in case you need a reference or similar.
