    Just press foil into the case and then remove it for the last part of baking blind. Yes lightly !!!!! the pastry.


    What's with the exclaimation marks?!!
    Use a fork to make little indentations in the pastry. That do you Mr.Censor!!?

    I was going to suggest queens cakes (lush) until I noticed you didn't have eggs. How good are you at sewing? This could be an idea.......10_5_3.gif

    Rikki - I think you might have it......I don't have any tinned fruit (my cupboards are so bare -sob!) ........but banana and custard tart might just work......wonder how manky the bananas are inside :eek:

    I don't have any of the baking beans , would that matter? Maybe if I !!!!! the pastry before I blind bake it?

    I don't have baking beans either. I just pr*ck the pastry with a fork lots of times.

    Checked the foil situation and I have enough to do that and cover the chicken i'm roasting for dinner - phew!

    i've gone for the banana and custard tart, although it was a very close run thing with the sultana eggless cake!!

    The pastry is resting at the moment, hopefully it will turn out ok!
